Art Department

It was really exciting week for me, a fan of baseball, because we had MLB World Series Championship in USA and Japan Series championship in Japan. In Japan, “Chiba Lotte Marines”, which is my home town team, whipped “Hanshin Tigers” with 4 straight games first time in my life. We thank the manager, Bobby Valentine, who was the former “New York Mets” manager. Because Benny Agbayani, who is one of players in Lotte Mariners, is from Hawaii, this news was released at local news here.
Though generally research institutes are very closed and tight environment, here is university, and thus there are many people having various backgrounds. Around the center of UH, there is art building. Out of opening, we can see that students are making their works. I can not go inside to see their works because I’m shy, but it looks exciting. At first glance, the gate at back yard is just rusty iron gate. But it’s also their works of art or fun.
